The Organ Hall from Chisinau has been refurbished 70%. The architect of the company performing the works has made this announcement today, as the site has been visited by Culture Minister Monica Babuc and the Romanian ambassador to Chişinău, Daniel Ioniţă.
The project started in 2015, as Romania gave a grant of EUR1 million.
"The works go forward as they must be performed in an artistic way to obtain the best from this building," said Danial Ioniţă.
Monica Babuc has said the Government already allotted EUR600,000 to finish the refurbishment: "We consider that EUR1.5 mn are necessary, including to repair the instrument and the sculptures."
The organ will be repaired in Romania.
