Over 900 smoke detectors installed in citizens' houses in 6 districts
A total of 959 smoke detectors have been installed within the National Campaign A Protected House, a Living Life in the houses in the Soroca, Drochia, Falesti, Floresti, Ungheni and Cantemir.
IGSU employees installed detectors on 832 families with many children, elderly people and bedridden people.
During the next period, the campaign will reach the towns of Causeni, Taraclia, Cahul and Comrat.
The purpose of the actions is to prevent fires and poisoning with carbon monoxide.
According to IGSU data since the beginning of the year, there have been 37 cases of CO and CO2 intoxication, resulting in 47 people being traumatized. Following the poisoning, 16 people died.
