Parliament to host 5th Parliamentary Assembly Moldova - Poland

The Parliament of the Republic of Moldova will host, during the period 23-24 July, the 5 th Session of the Republic of Moldova - Republic of Poland Parliamentary Assembly. Issues related to the organization of the meeting were discussed at the meeting of the Andrian Candu Parliament Speaker with the Ambassador of Poland to Moldova, Bartłomiej Zdaniuk.
The Parliamentary Assembly of the Republic of Moldova - Republic of Poland is an interparliamentary consultative body established for the elaboration of common viewpoints on projects that are an object of bilateral interest, especially in the context of the process of Moldova's association with the EU. The Assembly meets in plenary sessions, convened once a year, alternately in the Republic of Poland and the Republic of Moldova. The last meeting of the Parliamentary Assembly took place in Warsaw on October 8-10, 2017, during which the Joint Statement of the Republic of Moldova - Republic of Poland Parliamentary Assembly was signed.
Discussions at the meeting also focused on Poland's support for implementing Moldova's development policies. According to the Speaker of the Parliament, Polish financial support under the Development Assistance Program is a real support for continuing the modernization reforms of the country. The Republic of Moldova has been on the list of priority beneficiaries of Polish development assistance since 2004.
Andrian Candu mentioned the importance of expanding the presence of Polish investments in our country's economy. At the same time, the speaker appreciated that Moldovan products are increasingly present on the Polish market, Poland being a leading importer of Moldovan wines.
