President Igor Dodon promulgated the Law on electoral system modification, adopted by Parliament in final reading. Thus, the 2018 parliamentary elections will be organized in term of mixed voting. 50 MPs will be elected on party lists and 51 - directly by citizens, in uninominal constituencies.

"The members of the Legal Commission, as a result of the debates, proposed the Bill, with the unanimous vote of the present members for examination and adoption by the parliament in the second reading, "said PDM deputy Raisa Apolschii.

"74 votes on the bill amendment and completion of some legislative acts was voted, approved in the second and last reading", said Andrian Candu, Parliament Speaker.
