Pavel Filip at CNSM meting: Only by joining forces can we build a country we all desire
Prime Minister Pavel Filip has attended the meeting of National Trade Union Confederation of Moldova (CNSM). In his speech, the official highlighted the importance that trade has in our society.
"I appreciate a constructive approach, even when it comes to criticism from the Confederation of Trade Unions. At the same time we also had consistent dialogue, suggestions and fitting comments, even when speaking of more complex matters" Prime Minister mentioned.
The official accentuated that he continues to count on good cooperation with the Executive's social partners - trade unions and employers', mentioning that an open and sincere dialogue generated the successful implementation of some important initiatives, among which counts the meal tickets.
"Trade unions even participated in elaborating the governing plan, that we can today bring into force together. In the end, we all have a single aim - for people to have better lives, to travel on good roads, to receive decent medical services, salaries and pensions" Pavel Filip declared.
Speaking of the measures taken to improve the citizen's standard of living, Prime Minister spoke of the reforms promoted by the executive in economy and society. Pavel Filip said that the pension reform was possible due to trade unions. At the same time, social allocations were increased, while the minimum wage rose from 2 380 lei to 2 610. The Government also concentrated on improving the business environment, last year being created close to 60 000 jobs in Republic of Moldova.
Pavel Filip accentuated that the established development model for the next period of time is based on three principles: education, justice and infrastructure, while a complex approach will allow for solutions to all existing issues to be identified.
"None of us live in an illusion. We all walk on the same streets each day, buy groceries in the same shops and understand where we lack. There is only one solution: we must no longer look for excuses, be sincere with one another and then we will understand that we must be united, I am sure that only by joining forces can we build a country we all desire" Prime Minister said.
In his turn, president of CNSM, Oleg Budza, reiterated the support of trade unions for the country's European track and the reform promoted by the Government. According to president of CNSM, in the future, the common efforts will be consolidated to increase the workforce quality, enhance the labor legislation and improve salaries.
CNSM is made out of 25 trade union and trains around 400 000 members.
