Democratic mayors of Ialoveni district are worried about the fate of the projects they started during the previous government. The elected officials say the new leadership refuses to support the previously launched initiatives and even tries to destroy what has been built up so far.
Projects on road infrastructure, sewerage and aqueduct are targeted. The problems were raised during a meeting with the interim president of the Democratic Party, Pavel Filip and the deputy speaker, Monica Babuc.
Mayors say the new leadership is thirsty for revenge and fail to place the problems of citizens as priority. They also claim that because of their political color they are ignored by the new government.
Pavel Filip urged mayors to be more insistent and to show courage.
Local elected representatives were also encouraged by the deputy speaker, Monica Babuc.
On July 27th, the extraordinary Congress of the Democratic Party will take place in Chisinau, where the new party chairman will be elected.
