Pavel Filip: Government of Ukraine agreed for joint control in all Ukraine-Moldova Customs
Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine has approved at the Government's meeting the Agreement for joint control over people, vehicles, goods and items in joint crossing points of Ukraine-Moldova border. Announcement was made by Prime Minister Pavel Filip.
"This is an achievement. The agreement will following be ratified by Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine. I thank all colleagues who worked to elaborate this Agreement, colleagues from Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Ministry of Internal Affairs, Customs Service. We are ready to immediately start the joint control, but we cannot rush, as we must also think of Transnistria. Immediately after Verkhovna Rada will ratify the agreement, we must proceed to the joint control" Pavel Filip said.
Joint control will be used in all crossing points of Ukraine-Moldova border, both for vehicles, as well as railways. This will allow more secure, transparent, efficient and faster border control and customs procedures.
PUBLIKA.MD reminds that the Agreement for joint control at the Moldovan-Ukrainian border was signed during the official visit by Prime Minister of Ukraine Volodymyr Groysman in Republic of Moldova on 6 October.
