With deep regret and profound sadness, Prime Minister Pavel Filip has expressed his condolence regarding the passing of King Michael I of Romania.

The official has specified that not only Romania has lost a great man, but the whole of Europe.

"King Michael I of Romania will remain in our memories as a man of courage and nobility, dignity and modesty. Not only Romania, but the whole of Europe, has today a great personality. My compassion, regrets and thoughts lay, in those difficult moments, with Romania's Royal Family and nation" Pavel Filip wrote.
