"Central public administration staff will be cut to 50%, fewer people will remain so salaries can be increased reasonably," said Premier Pavel Filip after weekly press conference of the Democratic Party.

Today, Prime Minister Pavel Filip has come up with several requests and subjects at the PDM weekly meeting. The meeting discussed the laws that was approved by Parliament at the end of the session and were passed to the President. After examining the requests, the country's president did not pass laws and returned them to parliament.

"A state can be strengthened only when it is based on strong institutions. Furthermore, a government reform on Social Assurance as well as in other fields plays an crucial role in creating such institutions.

"Today, among of 2,153 employees in the central public administration, 1158 people will remain working, so the salaries proposed for the ministry officials will be increased."
