93 young specialists prepared within the Border Security Centers of Excellence have graduated today. Prime Minister Pavel Filip came forward with a congratulatory message addressed to the future border guards. The official declared that their chosen jobs is among one of the most responsible ones, as it ensure the safety of citizens.

"Ensuring peace and security of the citizens is the main task of your job and I know that you will have devotion to the duty. I know that you are proud to wear the uniforms and smile to those who are passing the border. You are all, truly, our country's business card and represent the image of the Republic of Moldova" Prime Minister mentioned.

At the same time, Pavel Filip empathized the contribution of Border Guards in gaining the visa liberalization with EU. Over the past four years, nearly one million and a half of citizens have benefited from this regime. Another important project is the opening of joint border control Moldova-Ukraine, which allowed, for the first time since gaining independence, to have control over the borders from Transnistria.

"Republic of Moldova must have control over all its borders. It is a necessity for out country, not an option" Pavel Filip mentioned.

According to the Prime Minister, the positive developments in the activity of Border Guards is due to the implementation of European standards and good practices in the field of integral management of the state borders. For the contribution made for the institution's development and on the occasion of the 26th anniversary of the Border Police, Prime Minister has awarded nine diplomas of the Government to employees with special merits.

"What you do every day, your dedication, this is true patriotism. While some try to declare their love for Moldova, we are simply doing our duty, with dignity. I am also sure that together, we can build a country where you will say "Have a safe trip" to our citizens only because they are leaving on vacation. A country where you will say "Welcome" to tourists and investors" Prime Minister declared.

This year's graduates are the 10th generation of the Border Security Centers of Excellence. The center is the sole vocational education institution from the Republic of Moldova that prepares qualified specialists in the field of state border surveillance and control.
