Prime Minister Pavel Filip, will hold a speech for the Eastern Partnership Summit, which takes place today in Brussels. The official from Chisinau will meet with High Representative of the European Union for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy, Federica Mogherini, as well as President of Romania, Klaus Iohannis.

Yesterday, Filip has met with multiple European representatives and has signed a memorandum for a 100 million euro assistance from EU to Moldova.

"The money given by EU are just as important as the trust they put in us by signing this memorandum" Prime Minister Pavel Filip declared.

Chisinau Cabinet of Ministers chief has also spoken of the terms our country has to complete to receive those money.

"We have 28 conditions to complete to gain all 100 million of macro-financial assistance. Plainly speaking they all view laws, reforms and are tied with justice and banking system, as well as fighting corruption. I cannot say that those term were imposed on us, as it is something Republic of Moldova wished for itself, as we are interested in fulfilling those reforms" Pavel Filip said.

The macro-financial assistance program for our country foresees 40 million euro given as grant and 60 million euro as loan. They will be transferred in 2018, in 3 equal tranches.

Pavel Filip has also met with European Commissioner for Regional Policy, Johannes Hahn.

"Commissioner Hahn came with good news. We will receive direct support by the end of the year, for the 4 out of 5 evaluated programs" Pavel Filip added.

The Summit might also discuss the issue of annulling roaming taxes for Republic of Moldova, Ukraine and Georgia in European Union.

Previously, the three countries signed a common declaration where they request European Parliament to offer them a clear perspective to adhere EU.
