Pavel Filip: we will take all necessary actions to have successful IMF Mission
Moldovan Prime Minsiter, Pavel Filip conducted a meeting with International Monetary Fund (IMF) team led by expert Ben Kelmanson today.
The recent Moldovan economic and social developments, the progress made in Memorandum with the IMF have been discussed at this meeting.
The Prime Minister welcomed the visit of the experts, especially the presence of new IMF Permanent Representative in Moldova, Volodymyr Tulin, and reiterated the good cooperation with Armine Khachatryan, who will complete his mission in August this year.
"The IMF program has helped us to restore the trust of foreign partners and we will continue to focus on ensuring its good implementation." said the Executive Head .
IMF Mission Head, Ben Kelmanson welcomed the government's actions to promote reforms for the citizens' benefit. Accordingly, the purpose of this visit is to get informed about the macroeconomic situation and to discuss budget-fiscal & monetary policy as well as other relevant policies in anticipation of the second program evaluation scheduled for autumn this year.
Between 17-21 July, a IMF Mission will be carried out in Chisinau.
