PDM notified CEC that NGO exert pressure on Electoral Bureau at several polling places
Democratic Party of Moldova has notified to the Central Electoral Commission (CEC) that in several polling places, representatives of an NGO put pressure on Central Electoral Bureau members not to give ballots for the referendum, along with ballot on the parliamentary elections.
More citizens reported of being asked by the members of polling stations if they wanted ballot for referendum which we considered unacceptable.
Our representatives in the respective polling stations informed us that this was generated by the pressures that NGO representatives are making on the presidents of the polling stations.
On this issue, the Democratic Party also reported to the international observers accredited to monitor the elections of 24 February 2019.
PUBLIKA.MD 14 political parties and an electoral bloc entered the race for the parliamentary elections in the national constituency.
325 electoral contestants are fighting for the seats of deputies in the 51 uninominal constituencies. 269 are supported by parties, and 56 are independent. They may be elected only by voters who have their domicile in the uninominal constituency in which they compete. Each one will be elected.
In the country, 48 constituencies were established. Three others were created abroad: one in the East, one in the West, and another in the United States and Canada. In the last two are also registered the most competitors - 13 candidates.
