Democratic Party of Moldova informed the Central Electoral Commission about the fact that on the election day February 24, 2019, the Party of Socialists of the Republic of Moldova offers voters from the left bank of the Nistru money for participation in polling stations. 

Citizens informed us that PSRM offer money to the voters to vote for the respective electoral competitor.

We consider that as a serious offense, since, according to the Electoral Code, electoral contestants are forbidden to offer voters money or other material assets in exchange for voting.

Moreover, the admitted violations also fall within the composition of the offense established by the Criminal Code.

We consider this unacceptable and we ask the Commission to impose sanctions against the illegal actions of electoral competitor of Socialist Party in terms of electoral legislation with the application of the legal liability established by art. 75 of the Electoral Code.

Accordingly, we request examination of law enforcement regarding the offense established by the Criminal Code.
