PDM: State shall help young people who wish to purchase real estate through First House project
Young people will be assisted by the state in purchasing a house, though the "Prima Casa" (First House) project. PDM has offered political support for this cause, which comes as a solution to encourage young people to stay in Moldova.
PDM's president, Vlad Plahotniuc, declared that the subject, along with other important subjects for people, such as medicine, identification documents law, public acquisition law and of course the situation from the City Hall- was debated last week at the Party's session. At the session multiple suggestions were forwarded and solicitations toward the Government, including for them to implement the second state of "Prima Casa" (First House) project.
Namely, several solutions were purposed that could encourage young people from several social and professional categories, public servants, to be able to purchase a house. At the same time, Vlad Plahotniuc claimed to have requested the Government to see if they can find a way so that the state will pay half of the expenses for the real estate loan.
"The Government will approve the general framework of the project and as soon as the solutions are identified to additional suggestions, supplements will be made to bring benefits to people" PDM leader said.
During the briefing, Vlad Plahotniuc came forth with several comments regarding the declarations made by opponents toward him and the party. Namely of the situation at the City Hall, Vlad Plahotniuc reminded them that Socialist and Liberal Parties have the majority in the Municipal Council, which allows them to do as they please. Still, they prefer to ruin the City.
"Today, socialists and liberals can do as they please within the City Hall, including moving the building to Condrița or Colonița - they have the necessary votes. Yet they still complain on TV stations that Democratic Party, with only a single vote in the Municipal Council, claim that we have taken over the City Hall! Either they are incompetent and democrats with a single vote can overthrow two parties that have the majority, or they bluntly lie, as usually" Vlad Plahotniuc stated.
The PDM leader has concluded that those who own the majority in City Hall fear that things will turn for the best in the Capital and they will lose control over the institution that has brought them many benefits for the past few years.
Vlad Plahotniuc has reminded that civil society and press have published for years of the corruption that takes place in the Chisinau's City Hall, signs that were not given proper attention by the state institutions. In this context, PDM decided that regardless of who will lead the City Hall, it's activity must be made more efficient and corruption that cripples the institution eliminated.
At the same time, Vlad Plahotniuc has once again declared that the Democratic Party has no desire to lead the City Hall, but it will be ready to support it through the Government when it will come to implementing projects that will benefit the Capital and resident's interests.
PDM's leader has also remarked that as usual, his opponents always targeted Democratic Party after it gained power and ignored it when they were not yet members of the Parliament, while his duty as Party's leader became making sure that his opponents "are kept busy".
