PDM to hash out governing alliance agreement with PSRM
The Democratic Party is open to negotiate with the Socialist Party to form a governing coalition, announced PDM President Pavel Filip after the Political National Council meeting.
"Honestly, the doctrinal or ideological views differ from the Democratic Party to the Socialist Party. Huge divergences exist between the two parties. Therefore, we need to seek the balance and certain common things", Pavel Filip declared.
He was confident to find a solution in the context of the creation of the PSRM-ACUM alliance last year. Filip said he the party would discuss other conditions in the mutual agreement.
"We can't copy paste the former agreement because the circumstances are different. We will ensure the security of the state, pursue the European path and stop the federalization of Moldova", Pavel Filip insisted.
The Socialists argue that they decided to negotiate with the PDM because PAS and PPDA did not respond to countless calls to resume the dialogues and find consensus. They also mention that their former colleagues should be due to overcome the misunderstandings between them by now.
