Members of both parties PSRM and PDM entered into negotiations today to create a governing coalition. All the negotiators decided not to hash over the specific positions and institutions but the basis of creating an alliance. 

The President of the PDM parliamentary faction Dumitru Diacov said that Democrats can assume half of the number of ministries and are interested particularly in foreign policy. 

"We had a friendly discussion. We didn't discuss to take over any concrete institutions as the press speculated. We talked about the directions of activities. We have new ministries. I think that Democrats assuming maybe 50% of them will be quite normal", PDM honorary chairman Dumitru Diacov. 

Democrats explained why they set their sights on foreign policy.

"Many accusations favor the Socialist Party specifically for this area. That's why we want to take responsibility and we want to make time to administer the government so that we can get into the rhythm of the normal relationship with European institutions," Dumitru Diacov declared. 

Socialist Vlad Batrîncea, however, didn't believe that Dumitru Diacov made such a statement.

"I'm not sure that Mr Diacov said such a thing", Vlad Batrîncea said. 

Dumitru Diacov admitted that there existed uncertainty among the Democrats regarding the formation of an alliance with the Socialists.

"I'm sure there are different ideas, there are uncertainties. But we ask ourselves: Will we mange, can we convince and succeed in maintaining an atmosphere?", Dumitru Diacov said. 

According to the Socialist Vlad Batrîncea, the discussions between the PDM and the PSRM will continue on the weekend, when the governing program will be discussed. Batrîncea did not exclude negotiations may take several weeks.
