A photo that dates from 1942 with the king made a sensation two years ago on the news web-site, Reddit, a very popular page that is visited daily by over 150 million people from over 200 countries. The king Michael died on Thursday, at the age of 96, writes realitatea.net.

The photo posted on Reddit shows Michael in 1942 checking a Russian gun that was taken by the Russian soldiers from the German ones, that was presented to the Sevastopol king.

The photo belongs to AP. A notice from the back of the picture tells that it arrived in the USA from Portugal.

 The King Michael died on Thursday, at the age of 96 . According to Realitatea TV, the announcement was made by the royal family. The king was born on October 25, 1921, he was the king of Romania between July 2, 1927 and June 8, 1930 and between September 6, 1940 and December 30, 1947.
