23 disadvantaged families from Ruseştii Noi village, Ialoveni district will have the Christmas table plenty of goods. 15 young people from the locality who are established for years in the United States, managed to gather 19 000 lei and donated for this purpose.
The mayor and social workers bought food and gave the money to poor families.
Nicoleta, Cristi and Daniel are under the care of parent nurses who gave them a shelter. Their mother is in jail, and their father died in an accident abroad. Children are among those who have enjoyed overseas gifts.
"Of course we were happy because we live in Moldova and the situation is not so easy. Of course they were happy, there are children coming from an environment ... who did not have the opportunity to have gifts "said Parent Assistant, Gherman Neaga.
And in the Trohin family home the Christmas table will be richer this year. The family has 10 children, but only the youngest stays with them.
"I thank you very much, both of you are bedridden, I care to wash them to feed them because they are my parents, they gave me life," said the old lady Natalia Trohin.
"Together with the social workers we sat at a table, made the list of families, children to enjoy this gift of our natives, salami, cheese, groats, oil, cakes, sweets", said the mayor of Rusestii village, Paul Codreanu.
Most of the families who have benefited of the gifts receive monthly allowances of 800 lei.
