The monument from the Nemteni memorial complex, Hancesti district was vandalized. A few days ago, on the tank that dates since the Second World War appeared some inscriptions and it was colored in the Romanian flag's colors.

The residents are indignant about the behavior of the ones who vandalized the memorial complex.

"I haven't seen anything. I just took a glance and noticed the changes. It is not normal", said a resident.

"Those people should be punished. It is a monument and we should take care of it", said a resident.

"Probably, the ones who did this were not educated", said a villager.
Previously, this complex was a tourist attraction, while now, it stays among the garbage. The young come here to have fun and they leave a lot of trash after them.

The case is investigated by the police who will establish if the branches can be punished according to the Penal or the Contravention code.

"We will investigate the case. When we will find the guilty ones, they will be punished according to the legislation. We interviewed the eyewitness already", said Vasile Dobos the chief of the Police Sector.

The sum of the damages is not established yet. The memorial complex is under the care of Culture Ministry.
