Mihail Gofman, the former deputy chief of the Office for Prevention and Combating of Money Laundering within the National Anticorruption Center, wrote on Facebook that the inmate Veaceslav Platon would be released, which would cost him $10M. Two days later, the candidate of alliance ACUM Vasile - Andrei Nastase said that he would rescue the political prisoners in Penitentiary no.13 when he became a deputy. 

On September 14, Andrei Nastase's older brother, Vasile - Andrei Năstase, launched his electoral campaign for the October 20 elections. 

"I will propose a draft law related to the political files of those imprisoned in Penitentiary no.13", said Vasile - Andrei Năstase.

On the other hand, on September 12, Mihail Gofman wrote on his Facebook that Veaceslav Platon could be extradited to Ukraine in case he paid $10M to the representative of the current government. 

"It seems that Platon will enjoy his extradition to Ukraine. I have information from the "red button" that such procedure could cost him $10M. Someone who was customer in just a few months became richer with millions dollars", Gofman wrote.

Publika recalls that on June 22 after alliance ACUM-PSRM came to power, the press spread news that Platon would pay $5M for his release. Later, journalists wrote that Platon doubled the amount and would pay $10M.
