Prime Minister Maia Sandu met High Representative of the European Union for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy Federica Mogherini in Brussels today, writes Moldpres.
The PM thanked the European commissioner for the support provided by EU to the current cabinet since the first days of its mandate, at the official meeting in Brussels, which preceded the meeting of the fifth Moldova – European Union Association Council.
Maia Sandu and Federica Mogherini discussed the first 100 days of the government in Chisinau, highlighting both the progress made and the set of reforms underway, meant to advance the European integration of Moldova.
Among the subjects tackled by the officials were also the Transnistrian settlement, Moldova’s energy security, as well as the excellent effects of the implementation of the Deep and Comprehensive Free Trade Area (DCFTA) in Moldova.
The prime minister expressed wish to bring the cooperation between EU and Moldova to a new level, both in the political field and the ones of security and economic development. The sides agreed upon continuing the dialogue in several days as well, when Federica Mogherini will pay a visit to Chisinau.
