Police Chief Gheorghe Balan on policemen dismissal at Minister Nastase's suggestion

While some policemen say they found out from the press that they were expelled at the suggestion of the Interior Minister, Andrei Năstase, IGP chief Gheorghe Balan, claims that they have applied for resignation themselves.
According to Balan, "all the police officers have written resignation for involvement in an illegal smuggling schemes, which the IGP chief cannot disclose."
Marian Maniţă and Vasile Conţescu claim that they are on leave and have learned from the press that they were fired.
Stas Baran refused to comment on the situation.
Alexandru Vlaicu asked to comment later, and Vasile Vizir did not answer the phone calls.
The IGP chief declares that the SPIA will decide whether to open a criminal case on the police. He failed to meet the release reports and he could provide more details only on Monday.
According to the head of the IGP, the anonymous letter was sent to the public portal.md probably by the policemen concerned.
