A policeman from Ungheni will spend the next years in jail after publicly humiliating a minor. 

In September last year, the officer forced the boy to strip his clothes and enter the cold water of pond in order to take out more fishing nets. The activities were witnessed by many people. 

Because the minor refused, the cop cursed him and threatened to drown him or lock him in the isolator for 15 days. As a result of the threats, the minor entered the water and was subsequently unconscious and got hypothermia in a warehouse. Cruelly, the child was further beaten.

Prosecutors for Combating Crime have imposed a 13-year-jail for the policeman. People believe that the punishment is too gentle and will reach appeal in Appeal Court.
