Political analyst: Kroll 2 report could be used to exert pressure against people mentioned
Data of Kroll 2 report, published by Our Party leader Renato Usatîi, could be used by the actual government to exert pressure against people whose names are mentioned there.
Some analysts think that this is tendentious because lot of information are based on articles or assumptions. The opinions were expressed within the TV show In the spotlight on Publika TV.
"It's been talked in vain about this report because a final conclusion can't be reached. Opinions of media from the opposition have been probably considered. In this case, the report has a political role to exert pressure against the people", said Cornel Ciurea, political analyst.
Moreover, the analysts also said that this information should be documented by specialists to verify the report's authenticity.
"The report contains information from different sources including the press. Around 50-70 percent of its information may not be true.", said the analyst.
Following the publication of the report by Renato Usatîi, a law firm announced that it would represent the interests of the former president of the Democratic Party of Moldova, Vlad Plahotniuc, whose name is mentioned in this document.
Lawyers believe the published information is a manipulation that attempts to divert the investigation from real beneficiaries and distort the truth about bank fraud. If it is proved that the report is authentic, Vlad Plahotniuc claims that he is ready to prove, with evidence, that he has nothing to do with those mentioned.
