Powerful EARTHQUAKE from Romania, affected Moldova this morning
An earthquake of magnitude 4.9 occurred on the Vrancea mountains in Romania this morning. This earthquake, which took place at a depth of more than 130 kilometers, also affected on the territory of Moldova with magnitude 3 tremor.
The earthquake occurred this morning at 5:32 minutes. According to the Head of Center for Experimental Seismology in Chisinau, Ion Ilieş, the earthquake was felt stronger in the central and southern area of Moldova. This was the second earthquake in the last 24 hours. The first took place in Tuesday afternoon.
"The earthquake was felt quite well in Moldova territory. It lasted about 4-5 seconds and was sensitive to the people who were awake at this hour. It was felt like two shakes, exactly there were two waves", said Chief of the Chisinau Center for Seismology, Ion Ilieş.
Some inhabitants felt the strength of earthquake.
"It shook, I felt it."
"The earthquake was not strong, but I felt it. "
