After media released information about PPDA headquarter that it was fraudulently privatized, real estate experts have come up with clarification.   

According to them, the amount paid is five times lower than the real cost of the market. And because it is a state monument, the value is invaluable.

The press wrote that the edifice on the 31st August Street in the capital, where the PPDA is headquartered and included in the State Monuments Register, would have been fraudulently privatized by the periodical "Voice of the Nation," founded by Vasile Năstase, brother of the leader of the party. He would stand behind the scheme that had been set up with representatives of the Town Hall. It was only after ten months that the municipality decided to recover the good.

At present, the value of the property is nearly 250 thousand euros, not 42,800 thousand, the real estate experts say.

"In our country, the basements are not sold for 200 euro square meters, it is a very small amount. Currently, the market price of this building is almost 250 thousand euros, because it has an area of 211 square meters, is located in a very populated central street, "said Olga Vorobiova, real estate expert.

Asked about the details of the privatization and if he considers his brother to be punished, Andrei Nastase avoided, as usual, coming up with a clear answer.

"I invite all of you to give up, it's fake, you have exhausted your arsenal on me, you already have a lie addressed to my brother. The "Glasul" Magazine owns a real estate legally constitutionally, naturally, "said Andrei Năstase, candidate for mayor of Chisinau.

We tried to talk to Andrei Năstase at the headquarter of the party. One of the guards told us he had a meeting.

And the secretary of the party, Chiril Motpan, said that Andrei Năstase does not want to make statements.

In April 2016, the Ministry of Culture requested a review of the privatization decision in 2008, but no further action has been taken yet.

"When the case was examined, the Ministry of Culture, as a national authority in the field of heritage protection, did not participate in the meeting. Here is our request to review the case," said Rodica Josanu, head of the legal department MECC.

Previously, PPDA candidate to Chisinau City Hall, Andrei Năstase, said that if he's elected, he will hold all people who have taken fraudulently public real estates in Chisinau accountable.
