PPDA MP Serghei Cataranciuc has passed away at the age of 62, announces the press service of the Parliament. 

"Serghei Cataranciuc was a laureate of the National Prize in the Field of Science and Technique, laureate of the National Competition Doctoral Thesis of Excellence, laureate of the Constantin Sibirschi Academic Prize, holder of the First Degree Diploma of the Moldovan Government for teaching activity, diploma for merits in the preparation of scientific staff.

Born on June 28, 1957, in the Cernăuți region, Serghei Cataranciuc, doctor qualified in mathematical sciences, asserted himself as a remarkable university professor, author of numerous scientific papers", quoted the obituary signed by Parliament Speaker Zinaida Greceanîi.
