Prime Minister Pavel Filip participated in the festival dedicated to the Teacher Day and the prize-giving ceremony at the Republican Contest The Teacher of the Year 2017. Around two thousand teachers were invited. 

Also, the head of the Executive wished the success of over 700 young specialists who have started their career in this noble profession this year.

Likewise, Prime Minister referred to the actual problems in the sector, underlining that the Government, in partnership with the teachers, was determined to identify solutions to resolve them:

"The education is an absolute priority for us, we know all the problems that we face and I can assure you that the future of the Republic of Moldova can be based only on a strong and efficient educational system."

Attending the event, Education, Culture and Research Minister Monica Babuc thanked the teachers and assured that every effort would be made to de-bureaucracy in education, curricular development and wage increases.
