Prime Minister Ion Chicu convened today a meeting with the participation of Deputy Prime Minister Serghei Pușcuța, the Minister of Internal Affairs, Pavel Voicu and a group of advisers to the cases of abusive power by some of the General Police Inspectorate subdivisions to economic agents. 

At the beginning of the meeting, PM mentioned that all police subdivisions must work keeping a perfect balance in respecting the interests of the state and eliminating pressure on the business environment.

The official ordered the creation of a working group led by Deputy PM Pușcuța. The group will have the task of evaluating the national legal framework governing the competences and powers of the Police. It has to come up with proposals for reorganization in order to liquidate the police responsible for carrying out checks at the economic agents by February 15.  

The objective of the Working Group is to determine the implementation of new procedures starting with July 1, 2020
