Prime Minister Pavel Filip asks for EMERGENCY STATE
Prime Minister Pavel Filip urged the Civil Protection and Emergencies Service (SPCSE) to take emergency measures for prevention and intervention, required by the situation caused by adverse weather conditions, the government’s communication and protocol department has reported.
At the same time, the premier asked SPCSE to strictly monitor the situation so that rescuers and firefighters intervene promptly to help citizens.
At the same time, the premier ordered the SPCSE and Agriculture and Food Ministry to carry out an urgent assessment of the damage caused by the snow in the last 24 hours and to propose a concrete plan of measures to remedy the crisis and help farmers. The plan is to be discussed on 21 April at a special cabinet meeting.
The State Hydrometeorological Service announces yellow code of frost throughout the country.
