Prime Minister Pavel Filip held meeting with administration of Veolia company
Prime Minister Pavel Filip had a meeting with the French transnational company "Veolia", specializing in water management, waste management and energy services.
The prime minister welcomed the interest of investors for our country, noting that this is further proof that Moldova becomes more attractive for investment as the result of actions taken by the Government.
Pavel Filip specified that Moldova needs investments and modernization in all three areas: water management, waste management and energy services, while referring to the activities of the company.
Prime Minister confirmed the Government's willingness to support all projects in these important sectors for national economy.
"We are a pro-business government that supports economic development and wants to overcome bureaucratic barriers. We are undertaking all efforts to ensure a more favorable business climate and attract potential investors" , said Pavel Filip.
In turn, representatives of the "Veolia" company talked about the global and regional group, and confirmed interest in expanding business in Moldova, by attracting European funds for this purpose.
The Prime Minister said that Moldova has well developed regulatory framework for public-private partnership, which would provide the necessary platform for initiating joint projects.
The Prime Minister asked for priority directions of cooperation between the parties to be identified, so that concree cooperation projects to be discussed in the near future t be discussed concrete cooperation projects.
"Veolia Environnement" company is among the world leaders in providing services for sustainable human development. The company has currently over 200 000 employees and its turnover last year reached 24.8 billion euros.
The "Veolia" group holds Apa Nova Bucharest company and its main activity is the operation of services of water supply and sewerage in Bucharest, for a period of 25 years, since 2000.
