Number one raider in CIS, Veaceslav Platon, intentionally delays the examining of his case in court. The declaration is given by prosecutor Andrei Baesu and was made today when the first hearing had to be held in the Platon case.
Veaceslav Platon's lawyer has previously filed two applications for challenge of the judge and in both cases they were rejected. Even so, the accused asked to postpone the hearing to study the case materials.
Veaceslav Platon is investigated for extortion and money laundering in large proportions, which led to prejudice of Banca de Economii with about 800 million lei.
The accused was arrested in Kiev after the Moldovan authorities announced him on international search.
