Prosecutors Council accepts bids for two top jobs
The Supreme Council of Prosecutors bids the position of Moldova’s General Prosecutor.
The application files should be submitted till October 24, 17:00 p.m.
The winner will be selected in accordance with the new Prosecutor’s Office Law, meaning he/she won’t be endorsed in the Parliament, but will be appointed by the head of state, following the proposal of the Supreme Council of Prosecutors.
The candidates should be Moldovan citizens, speak the state language and have an experience of at least five years in the area.
The position of general prosecutor has been vacant since Corneliu Gurin had left on February 26. The deputy general prosecutor Eduard Harunjen has held the job ad interim.
After reforming the system, a head of the Organized Crime Combating Prosecutor’s Office should also be selected.
