Public transport passengers obliged to wear masks and gloves
Starting Monday, people traveling by public transport will be required to wear masks and gloves. The decision was taken by the Commission for Exceptional Situations of Chisinau, in order to prevent the spread of coronavirus. People who do not follow this rule could be fined or even criminally investigated.
General Manager of the municipal enterprise “Electric Transport Administration" mentioned that in the future, no more than 35 passengers are allowed to stay in the trolleybuses. Carabinieri will monitor the situation.
Meanwhile, additional measures are being taken to protect tax-collectors and drivers. The company bought two thousand visors, and 150 masks are sewn daily in the trolleybus parks.
"A driver's equipment consists of a visor, three masks, two gloves, three pairs," said Dorin Ciornîi.
Publika recalls that starting Monday, public transports in Chisinau will return to normal working schedules. Since March 28, the trip by public transport has been free, and the transports only run in the morning and in the evening. Over the weekend, trolleybuses and buses do not run at all.
