Coronavirus claim lives of three more people including a doctor
Three more coronavirus deaths have been reported in Moldova. The number of people who died of COVID-19 reached 122.
According to the Ministry of Health, one of the victims is a 66-year-old man from Balti. He was hospitalized on April 7, at the hospital in Balti, with other chronic diseases: high blood pressure, stroke, chronic kidney disease.
Another victim is a 49-year-old woman from Cahul. She was hospitalized on April 22 in serious condition at the Institute of Emergency Medicine. Final diagnosis: Bilateral polysegmental interstitial pneumonia, severe evolution, progressive respiratory failure, Pulmonary distress syndrome, septic shock.
The third victim is the traumatologist Igor Cheptea, who worked at the Falesti district hospital, being confirmed with COVID-19 infection. Mr. Cheptea was a valuable specialist for the entire medical system. Throughout his career he has treated thousands of patients. The Ministry of Health expresses its sincere condolences to the family and colleagues.
