Thousands of Moldovans and Romanians gathered at the Great National Assembly Square to participate in the event organized to mark 100 years since the union of Bessarabia with Romania.
Unionist deputies request Chisinau and Bucharest to convoke a common meeting and sign a declaration, recognizing the Union of Bessarabia with Romania from 1918.
According to the police, so far there have been no incidents and around 7 000 people have gathered. Due to this, Ştefan cel Mare boulevard was partially closed from Ion Creangă-Calea Ieşilor streets to the Great National Assembly Square.
