Moldovan Minister of Foreign Affairs Oleg Țulea sent a letter to his Azerbaijani counterpart, Jeyhun Bairamov, on the occasion of Azerbaijan's Independence Day. In the letter, he expressed the country's support for the territorial integrity of the Azerbaijani state.
Moreover, Oleg Țulea drew a parallel with the region on the left bank of the Dniester and stressed that the Republic of Moldova knows what a frozen conflict means on its territory.
The official also mentioned the need to resolve disputes peacefully and expressed his belief that, through the efforts of the international community, the armed confrontations between Armenia and Azerbaijan will end.
One day after the escalation of the conflict in the Caucasus, President Igor Dodon called for a ceasefire and mentioned that both Armenia and Azerbaijan are friendly states of the Republic of Moldova.
