Reforms yield benefits: Higher salaries to physicians at Republican Clinical Hospital
Vocation, professionalism and desire of contribution of doctors have made Republican Clinical Hospital (RCH) Timofei Moşneaga in Chisinau a model medical institution.
Investment in medical equipment plays an important role as well. After years of crisis, the institution managed to tackle debt of millions lei, modernize departments and raise salaries up to 60%.
RCH director Anatol Ciubotaru present a report on success in the last three years as well as plans for the future.
Almost a thousand doctors and nurses are working in the institution who offer over 28,000 patients healthcare.
"Actually we receive double patients every year. The hospital has developed considerably and made radical changes", said the head of the RCH Department, Aurel Țurcan.
Efficient management and state-implemented policies enable improved working conditions for physicians and to attract young specialists.
"We are assured totally with medicines. We have necessary equipment. Young people start coming to work here. 10 new doctors were employed only this year in our department", said director of the Anesthesia and Intensive Care Clinic at RCH, Victor Cojocaru.
New working conditions and higher salaries encouraged physicians.
"30 doctors receive average salary from 20 to 30 thousand lei monthly. 48 physicians receive average salary 15 to 20 thousand lei. 15 persons receive average salary 15 thousand lei", said RCH director, Anatol Ciubotaru.
PDM leader Vlad Plahotniuc was also invited to the presentation of achievements at this institution.
"I know doctors, I know passionate physicians, dedicated doctors. Everything we work is for you to work, and remain in the country, to earn good money, investment, modern hospital", said PDM candidate Vlad Plahotniuc.
Doctors grabbed the chance to discuss their further development proposals for the Hospital.
"We have specialists, we have rooms, we propose to have modern equipment, we can't operate birth labor without equipment. There are children we must carry out surgery in the first hours after birth".
"I would like to ask when we have changes in the hospital system, we propose that the Republican Hospital to be a university one," said USMF pro-rector Emil Ceban.
Hospital staff concluded that thanks to Democratic Party, the health system will be improved. The party has proved they place healthcare as higher priority.
