Reghinei Apostolova denies all accusation of Anatol Şalaru, who claims her political campaign is financed by Russia
Candidate of ȘOR Party running for Chisinau Mayor denied all accusations of Anatol Şalaru that her political campaign is financed by Russia. During a press conference, the party's representatives claim that the company which transferred 200 000 lei on Reghinei Apostolova's political campaign account is registered in Moldova. Moreover, Ilan Şor believes that the declarations made by leader of PUN wish for Reghinei Apostolova to withdraw her candidacy.
"The money were transferred from a Moldovan company, while those accusations can only be meant to force our candidate to withdraw" president of Şor party, Ilan Şor declared.
According to representatives of the Electoral Commission from Chisinau, Șalaru's accusations were sent to the court.
"In five day, or no later than the day before the elections, the court will make a declaration regarding the case. Following, it will be established if Reghina Apostolova's candidacy will be annulled" secretary of Chisinau Electoral Council, Vitalie Miron mentioned.
A few days before, Anatol Șalaru presented a document proving that a Russian citizen transferred 200 000 lei on the accounts of a Russian-Moldovan company. One of its founders is an institution under the leadership of Russia. In the same day, those money were transferred as donation to the account of ȘOR Party's political campaign.
