Regional training seminars on implementation of State Policy Coordination Mechanism for Diaspora, Migration and Development
Between January 24 and March 29, 2018, the Diaspora Relations Office (BRD) of the State Chancellery, in partnership with the United Nations Development Program / MiDL and the International Organization for Migration, Mission to Moldova (IOM), organized four regional training seminars on the implementation of the State Policy Coordination Mechanism for Diaspora, Migration and Development (DMD).
The trainings were attended by representatives of local level I and II, local authorities responsible for DMD at the decision and technical level (mayors, deputy mayors, rayon deputies, other representatives of the LPA).
The training sessions were attended by 145 people from the northern, central and southern districts of Moldova.
The first seminar took place on 24 January, in Căuşeni, and gathered representatives of Cimişlia, Cahul, Taraclia, Căuşeni, Basarabeasca, Cantemir, Leova, Ştefan-Voda rayons.
On March 6th, the training took place in Calarasi, gathering representatives of the Anenii Noi, Calarasi, Criuleni, Dubasari, Hincesti, Ialoveni, Nisporeni, Orhei, Straseni, Soldanesti, Telenesti, Ungheni districts.
Training seminar took place in Drochia on March 22, with the participation of representatives from the Balti, Briceni, Donduseni, Drochia, Edinet, Falesti, Floresti, Glodeni, Ocnita, Riscani, Sangerei, Soroca rayons and on March 29, the training was attended by representatives of APLs from ATU Gagauzia.
The participants received support to include the integrated DMD approach in Local Development Plans, Programs and Strategies, as well as the programs developed by BRD, the concept of the Diaspora Home Project, "DAR 1 + 3", and the need to set up Local Committee of the Diaspora, Migration and Development.
