Data of an international study called "PISA" show the Moldovan school students have improved their education skills, compared to 2009, when this country had started to be evaluated.
The teenagers score better results in sciences, math and reading. The authorities explain it’s due to the improvement of the Moldovan education system.
As for reading, the Moldovans are at the same level with peers from Mexico and Thailand.
They are ranking at the same level in math with teenagers from Chile, Turkey and Montenegro.
In sciences, the Moldovans are in line with peers from Romania, Cyprus, Albania and Turkey.
The test has been carried out on nine million 15-year-old students from 72 countries. 5,000 Moldovans from 227 schools got evaluated.
