Better roads in the Cantemir district. By the end of the summer, 50 localities will be renovated with the works budget 47 million lei. Until now, works have been completed in seven villages with a total surface area of 5.4 km. Repair works are being carried out in two other localities.

At present, the workers renovate a road in the village of Cîrpeşti. The repairs have not done for over 30 years since the main street was put into operation. 

"The works, in my opinion, are carried out qualitatively, they will last for about 40 years," said the State Road Administration representative, Nicolae Avram.

"It is important for us, because if we had repaired other parts of the road with our own forces, we would not have repaired it in the near future," said Cîrpeşti village mayor, Ion Bîzu.

In seven other localities, the works have already been completed.

In total, over 1,200 kilometers of local roads, in 1241 localities in the country, will be rehabilitated within the framework of the National Program Good Roads for Moldova launched by the Government at the initiative of PDM President Vlad Plahotniuc. The total amount of investments is 1.6 billion lei.
