Robbers of million lei in Cathedral Park, arrested in isolation for 30 days
The men suspected of robbing nearly a million lei were arrested in isolation. The 22-year-old youngster refused to talk to the press.
"He reserves the right to keep silence, so we can't tell you anything more at the moment," said lawyer Filip Digor.
The another suspect, aged 33, will also spend the next 30 days in penitentiary no.13. He was also trialed for robbery in watch store at the end of 2015.
"I'm not ready to make any declaration," one of the suspects said.
The arrest is necessary, according to the prosecutor:
"They pose a threat to society but some legal measures are not reasonable. They have not recognized their guilt", said prosecutor Grigore Belii.
The suspects, originating in Chisinau, robbed a man who was at currency exchange, with total of a million lei.
The incident took place on September 29 in the Metropolitan Cathedral Park.
According to law enforcement, the attackers were armed with an electric shock. They sped off with their rented car after stealing.
If found guilty, they risk up to 15 years of jail.
