Romania to continue to provide technical support for implementation of European legislation in Moldova

The Director of the Centre for Legal Approximation of Moldova, Natalia Suceveanu, held today, March 3rd, an official meeting with the Government Agent for the Court of Justice of the European Union, Razvan Horatiu Radu, Undersecretary of State in the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Romania.
They exchanged views on interaction platform to harmonize legislative institutions and technical support for the implementation of EU law in Moldova.
The two officials stressed the privileged nature of the relations between our country and the neighboring evidenced by strategic collaboration format at Romania-Moldova Intergovernmental Commission for European Integration. Cooperation in the field of legislative technical level lasts more than 5 years and in the near future, it will continue through exchange of experts and organization of joint workshops working on this dimension.
Horatiu Radu said as a result of legislative harmonization, it is important to have "an appropriate legislative framework, articulate and according to both national interests and requirements of European law. Our experience in this regard can support Moldova in seeking solutions effective in transposition, but also to avoid certain mistakes implementation Romania reported by the European Commission. "
On this occasion, Natalia Suceveanu reviewed recent developments in the compliance of national legislation with the European one, highlighting successes and challenges encountered by the Centre for Legal Approximation in the 10 years of existence.
The official appreciated Moldovan-Romanian cooperation enormously, which it considers so substantial that there are only opportunities for consolidation.
