Romanian tourism firms lure Moldovans with trips to sea, mountains
Twenty-two Romanian tour operators will be displaying, April 6-9, in the “Tourism. Leisure. Hotels 2017” trade convention in Chisinau over 60 square metres, promoting Romania’s offerings of spas, health tourism, culture tourism, Black Sea and Danube Delta holiday packages, as well as winter holiday offers.
The Romanian Tourism Ministry says in a press statement released on Thursday that at its stand in the 22nd edition of the international specialist trade convention of tourism, leisure and hotels in the capital city of Moldova prize-winning competitions will be held. The prizes are accommodation and treatment vouchers to be awarded by the exhibiting companies based on business cards collected at the ministry’s desk.
Also available at the stand will be wine and traditional Romanian food tasting.
Attending the event will also be State Secretary with the Tourism Ministry Cristina Tarteata, who is scheduled to meet Romania’s ambassador to Moldova Daniel Ionita, Director General of Moldova’s Tourism Agency Stanislav Rusu, as well as representatives of trade associations from Moldova’s tourism sector and local media.
Organising the event is the Moldexpo International Exhibition Centre, officially supported by Moldova’s Tourism Agency, the National Association of Moldova’s Travel Agencies as well as Moldova’s National Association of Rural, Ecologic and Cultural Tourism.
