Romanian Premier Sorin Grindeanu has stated Romania considers expanding motorway to Moldova. He made the statement at a news conference with Moldovan Prime Minister Pavel Filip in the Romanian town of Piatra Neamt today.
The motorway would link the Romanian cities of Târgu-Mureș and Iași to the Moldovan localities Ungheni and further to Chisinau.
“I would shun giving any terms, but the Government plans to start this investment by 2020. We want to attract as much money as possible from the EU. This road will make the link to Moldova as far as Chișinău,” Sorin Grindeanu said.
