Russian troops, illegally placed in Transnistria, conducted new military drills
The Russian troops, illegally placed on the left side of Dniester river, have conducted new military drills. The announcement was done on the official website of the Russian Ministry of Defense.
The soldiers have simulated the rebutment of a terrorist attack on a control point.
At the drill participated 150 militaries with 10 tanks. Over 3,500 gunshots were fired from both sides.
The Chisinau officials affirmed that the challenging actions of this type are leading to the straining of the situation in the region and represents a defiance towards the sovereignty and territorial integrity of Moldova.
The authorities are requesting the change of the peace-maintaining format in the area from military to civil and with international mandate.
