Scandal in Băcioi continues. Councilmen are accusing the local mayor of multiple crimes
Scandal in Băcioi continues. Multiple councilmen, as well as the secretary of the local council, who was recently restored, are accusing the local mayor of multiple crimes. Among them counts the illegal acquisition of land that was supposed to be used to build a cemetery. They claim that Vitalie Şalari, as well as his relatives have received multiple favors, including luxury cars.
"In 2015, he decided to breach the law, illegally acquiring 8 hectares from Băcioi commune. We, councilmen, voted for this land to be used to build a cemetery" councilman Valeriu Celcinschi said.
According to the councilmen, the land was bought without a proper auction, only based on the court's decision.
"Through the decision of the court, made by Judge Gheorghe Balan. In 2015, the owner became the man who previously owned the land, for a rent of 350 000 lei" Valeriu Celcinschi said.
At the same time, local councilwomen claim that Vitalie Şalari has illegally given land of multiple people, including his relatives, who are working for the public administration.
"Through the decision of Băcioi Commune Council 1/48 land is distributed to Mr. Şalari Andrei, the mayor's father, Mr. Comendant Grigore, father of a councilman, Comendat Alexandru" local councilman Viorel Gortolomei said.
They also claim that Şalari has illegally given land to an enterprise.
"Following this transaction Mr. Şalari Vitalie and the mayor's father Şalari Andrei, the wife of Mr. Şalari have received cars as benefits. Mr. Şalari at the moment owns a car worth 5 million lei" Viorel Gortolomei mentioned.
The secretary of the local council was recently restored in his position and was present at the conference, claiming that to this point they have no access to their office.
Mayor of Băcioi commune, Vitalie Şalari denies all accusations: "They are all speaking lies. There are competent bodies that can investigate this matter."
According to local councilmen, Vitalie Şalari has changed in only a few months three political parties. He was chosen on the list of the Liberal Party, but transferred this year to PUN, while a few days before to PAS.
