The National bank of Moldova forecasted an inflation rate of 5.2% this year.
The Governor Sergiu Cioclea states that external factors have influenced the rate.
However, Cioclea said the inflation will return to the 5 percent target index by summer. And for 2018, the National Bank forecasts the increase of prices by average of 4.9 percent.
Last year, the inflation rate in Moldova was of 2.4 percent, the lowest registered in four years and by six times lower than in 2015.
